Fan of Blue

Dress: Cynthia Rowley (similar here)   Pumps: GUESS   Bangles: Target   Earrings: Macy's (similar here)

Hi everybody!

As a child, I was always fond of the color pink and thought that blue was the enemy color. I would vow to wear blue as little as I could. Fast forward many years later, and here I am a huge fan of that color (especially cobalt)! I just love how it pops out against my coloring and brings life to so many outfits!

Thank you so much for reading!

Two-Toned

Top: Ann Taylor   Skirt: LOFT   Heels: Nine West

Hi everybody!

Mixing patterns seems so daring and out of the comfort zone, but it doesn't have to be that scary. It's simpler when both differing pattern pieces are the same color scheme. I have demonstrated here that both my skirt and top, although diverse in pattern, are black and beige. This creates similarity, so that the difference doesn't seem so extreme.
So, pattern mixing can be taken in baby steps. It's like saying, "let me dip my toe in the water to see if I'm up for it." And you know what I say? Go for it because fashion is worth experimenting!!
Now that my little pep talk is over, have a great day guys!! Thank you so much for always reading!

Stay beautiful,

Sofia

Double Take: Kate Middleton Style

Kate Middleton Photo Credits: 1/2/3

Hi everybody!

Two weeks ago, I debuted the first 'Double Take' look featuring Lily Collins. This week I decided to re-do another famous person's look: Kate Middleton. Her classic take on this look is elegant and refined. I fell in love with the whole look immediately, but the price was a bit steep. So, I decided to recreate the look for less with this darker hued trench coat that has the exact same style as Kate Middleton's. Let's compare prices:

  Kate's Outfit                                            My Outfit

  • Trench Coat: Burberry- $995                               Trench Coat: Banana Republic- $225
  • Pumps: Jimmy Choo- $695                                    Pumps: BCBGeneration- $89
  • Prince... Priceless!

Laser Cut

Blouse: Zoa via Marshalls   Pants: Theory   Booties: Michael Kors (Gold version & silver version)  Handbag: Kenneth Cole Reaction   Necklace: BaubleBar (also here)   Bangles: Target   Watch: GUESS (similar here)
Make-up: Faces Beautiful   Eye shadow: Five Shades of Eyes   Foundation: Radiant Beige   Lipstick: Mauvette

Hi everybody!

Oh my gosh..... these booties!! Once I saw these wonders I kind of had a 'Say Yes to the Dress' moment, where I tried them on, called my mother for approval and all! So evidently, I am obsessed with these laser-cut beauties and will find any opportunity to wear them. And, I am even more excited to pair them with these suede pants from Theory!

Ok guys, I will end this post before I have clothing excitement overload... although I think it's too late.

Thank you so much for reading and supporting my blog!

Lots of love and stay beautiful,

Sofia

P.S. I am featuring a great make-up brand today called Faces Beautiful. I love the warm eye shadow colors and the foundation that blended into my skin with such ease. I took notes from the brand's book called Making FACES Beautiful by Gail Sagel, where it focuses on differences of the face to achieve a make-up look just right for you. Well, I have to comment on my foundation. What magic! This mineral make-up has a brush attached to the tube, which makes it easier of the applier to put on their make-up without any fuss. Also, this foundation actually enhances my skin due to the natural minerals and botanical components in the make-up! The eye shadow comes in an array of colors, but I love this palette the most. With its deep and light shades of brown, this palette helps me achieve a natural look.
