Hi everybody!

Today was a necessary coffee day! After staying up until 2:00 a.m. planning posts and listening to Nick Jonas' song 'Jealous' on repeat, I felt like Starbucks was a much needed treat. (Fun fact about me: I am a major night owl!) I wanted to be casual yet still put together. In these cases, my distressed boyfriend jeans serve as the perfect options to wear. A cropped knit sweater serves as a comfy source of warmth. As far as outerwear goes, I wore this puffer vest for an additional edgy vibe. Black booties are also classic and cool (I've had this pair for 5 years now and it's still my favorite pair of boots). Lastly, I added a checkered scarf that resembles the print of Burberry. Get this... I got it for only $11 (GASP)! Doesn't it look like it just came off of a shelf in Burberry? Don't you love it when you find great deals like that?!

Happy New Year! Thank you for reading my journey these past two years. I am so blessed to have you read my blog. I can't wait to see what's in store for us this year!!

Today I am featuring a winter essential, which is the blanket scarf. It has been such a big hit this season because of its over-sized, cool, and casual style. I ma obsessed with this pattern I am wearing. It can be paired with many outfits easily and can enhance any look, whether it be casual or sophisticated. I decided to dress up today with my favorite ASOS skirt. I always seem to find new looks to pair this skirt with. Its vibrant fire-engine red color is the perfect shade to add  a punch of color. It especially worked well in this outfit because it enhanced the red in the scarf's pattern. I added a cream cropped sweater and beige pumps to balance the bright colors with neutral tones. A red box bag finishes off the look.
