Geometric Sequin

Dress: Max Studio   Shoes: GUESS   Clutch: Tj Maxx

Hi everybody!

One of this year's top Spring trend is geometric fashion. It has been popping up on the runway and is a must-have in your closet this Spring.

There are many different takes on geometric fashion, so I chose this Max Studio dress to show the more subtle side of this type of fashion. The dress creates different shapes using sequins. From squares to triangles this dress has an intricate yet subtle design. Looking at this dress you can see how the masterfully the designer sewed the sequins to the dress creating a beautiful pattern.

Overall, this dress is fun and perfect for a night out!

Pops of Color

Top: Pure Rebel via Tj Maxx   Skirt: Asos   Boots: Tahari   Boot Socks: Tj Maxx   Watch: GUESS   Bracelet: Tiffany & Co.   Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Hi everybody!

This outfit features these cozy boot socks that I just adore. This latest trend has been a great hit this Winter. They are warm, fun, and a great way to style your boots.

I wore a striped three-quarter sleeve shirt with my red Asos skirt. This skirt brings out a pop of color in the look and brightens the whole outfit. The red box purse adds more brightness and is a great accessory to correlate with the skirt. Also, these black riding boots go well with the boot socks. They both combine so nicely together to complete the chic ensemble.

The Versatile Dress

First Look:  Dress: French Connection  via TJMaxx  Faux Fur Scarf:  Target   Booties: Cole Haan   Tights: The Limited
Bracelets: Target (on clearance $11.95)  (splurge   Jcrew)
Second Look:  Dress used as skirt:  French Connection via TJMaxx  Sweater: (old)   Belt:  Express (old)
Shoes: BCBG  Sunglasses:  Cole Haan

Hi everybody!

I love versatility! Honestly, I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I use a dress and make it into a different piece of clothing. When I shop, I always see if I can create many looks with one piece.

Today, I took a striped sweater dress, styled it, and then styled it as a skirt. I styled the dress with oxblood accents. My oxblood snood and clutch pop out against the white, but correlate with the dark color of the black stripes, stockings, and ankle boots.

For my second look, I transformed the dress into a skirt by adding a thick sweater over the dress. The belt cinches my waist. This all black and white ensemble is a classic look and the pumps add to the classic feel.

Skating in Rockefeller Center with my aunt and cousin

Hi everybody!

After a chilly getaway in NYC, where I skated in Rockefeller center as snow fell down from the clouds, I welcome this outfit with open arms. These two pieces from Hollister and Gilly Hicks are so cute and great for warm weather.

The skirt (Gilly Hicks): This Christmas my mom gifted me this beautiful skirt. I really love the way it has some body to it. The skater skirt flares out just a little bit to give it the nice shape that it has.  Also, the skirt elongates my legs. Overall, this skirt is a youthful and super cute piece.

The sweater (Hollister): I love varsity jackets, so this sweater really caught my eye. It has the style of a varsity jacket, with a more lightweight material. The blue and white colors correlate with the colors of the skirt. Also, the number 22 on the side is a nice touch to the sweater.

P.S. If you are ever in  New York City go by Lombardi's Pizzeria. It is America's first pizzeria and by far the best. The white pizza is my favorite for its gooey mozzarella and romano cheese mixture topped with generous dollops of ricotta cheese and a drizzle of garlic infused oil.

New Year and Sequins

Skirt: STEPS New York (recent)   Tank top: Gap   Cardigan: Old Navy   Pumps: BCBG   Bracelet: Tj Maxx   Ring: Vintage

Hi everybody!

Happy New Year! It is officially 2013. I just came back from my magical trip to New York City. Every time I visit, I am enchanted by all of the bold lights, tall buildings, and of course, the amazing fashion sense the New Yorkers have.

This skirt was the icing on the cake to 2012 because it added sparkle to my New Years Eve outfit. The scalloped details and sequins glamorize this mini skirt. The cardigan refines the look, while also adding a simpleness and casualness  to a part of it. These pumps (Which I call my Audrey Hepburn pumps) are sophisticated and are classic heels. Having some more sparkle on my ring and thick bracelet compliment the accents on the skirt.
