Splurge or Save: Statement Coat

Hi everybody!

Ever get that bitter feeling when you see the clothing item of your dreams, but it's way over your budget. It's happened to me countless amount of times. But have you ever got that sweet feeling when you find an exact replica and it's so much cheaper. It's a sense of victory; defeating the haunting price and prevailing with a stylish and reasonable clone. I have had my eyes on this statement coat for a while now, waiting for the steep price to drop. But, after a while I started to lose hope, not knowing whether to just bite the bullet and pay up or to give up on my desires to purchase this beauty. But, when I saw Ann Taylor's most recent collection I was in awe that Ann Taylor has the exact same coat. The print, the length, the 3/4 sleeves; all exactly alike to the coveted RED Valentino coat. I was shocked and excited all at once, finally being able to buy the coat I was after for a while, and actually surprised at how much better it looks with a reduced price. ;)

Hi everybody!

This lovely LBD is a great statement piece to bring out for work, an event, dinner, or even shopping. I am all for LBDs (as evident here). They are a great way to make your outfit classy and timeless. With this particular LBD, fierce heels would elevate the look even more, so my new Charles David ones look great with the look. A wallet the can be used as a clutch is versatile and colorful. I absolutely adore this look that shows how classic and stylish a Little Black Dress really is.

Hi everybody!

Looking through magazines recently I have noticed that a great many of them are preparing us readers for the upcoming season. With luxe coats and a variety of boots starting to make their appearances on newsstands, I have also seen the color pumpkin being announced by a number of my favorite magazines. With the new color of the next season being announced, I decided to purchase an item to prepare myself in advance. That item being a Rachel Roy silk charmeuse blouse that gracefully combines elegance and trendiness. Still keeping to the Summer season, I wore a pair of my favorite two-toned shorts from Sachin + Babi. Platform sandals and a mix of pumpkin and brown bracelets create an ease to my look.
I'm excited for the season of breeze and orange leaves to come upon us, but at the same time wish Summer would never end. This outfit portrays my feelings exactly and is definitely a great transition from Summer to Fall.

There's always that one item in your closet that makes you want to twirl in it all day, whether it's a tulle skirt or a favorite party dress. Well, this is my twirl-friendly item: a citrus orange Nanette Lepore dress. This dress is a dream, from the vibrant color that can easily transition into Fall to the a-line skirt that is trendy and stylish. Details like the jewelneck and the added belt make me love this dress all the more. Adding accessories like a clutch that features belts that coincide with the one on my dress, and statement earrings bring the look together to make a fresh classy outfit.

Today I'm featuring a dress that I am majorly obsessed with: this Rachel Zoe A-line Poplin dress. Being a fan of Rachel Zoe as a designer and a stylist I have always wanted to purchase one of her gorgeous designs. And now that I have, I love it. This dress can go from day to night easily, it can transition into your work attire instantly, and can be styled for a majority of events. I styled this look for more of a night out. I find that a blazer adds instant sophistication to an outfit, so adding this blazer gave a bit more elegance to the look. I always love to add a pop of color in my looks, so these GUESS pumps are great for their fun colors. They also feature trendy ankle straps and helpful platforms. For the accessories, I wore pewter pearl bracelets for classiness, and a statement ring, as well. Adding a patent leather clutch pulls the chic look together.
