Mixing Patterns

Dress: French Connection   Scarf: Target   Shoes: GUESS   Purse: Tj Maxx (old)   Watch: GUESS

Hi everybody!

Today  I decided on trying a super hot Fall trend: mixing patterns. When most people think of mixing patterns they get quite scared because it is a bold fashion statement. But my advice to you is to go outside of the box and try something new. There are so many patterns out there and quite often than not they do go along with another pattern. If you want to try mixing textures and materials of different articles of clothing, than that is a great way to start transitioning into mixing patterns.

My French Connection dress has a striped pattern. I love this dress because the colors go so well together. So, my scarf is polka dots, but it makes the outfit pop out. Without the scar this look would not be as uniquely stylish as if it had the scarf. Their is a similarity between the dress and the scarf, which is that they both have the color blue in them. So, their similar colors make them correlate a little bit more.

I am in love with my color block ankle strap pumps. The platform is the color red and the heel is purple. The red platforms goes with the red in the dress making a harmony of reds and blues.

My black quilted purse, diamond earrings, and gold watch are nice final touches to the whole all-American outfit.

Thank you for all of your support.

Stay beautiful,

Sofia
